I went to school at Hector and at Arkansas Tech University.
I received my teaching degree in 1994. I received my master’s degree in Library Media in 2010.
In the school year 1994-1995, I was hired as a teacher’s assistant for 3rd grade. The following year, I was hired to be a 4th grade teacher which I did for one year. I then moved to 3rd grade and taught this grade for twelve years. I was the teacher in the Literacy Learning Lab for two years. I also taught 2nd grade for six years. I am now beginning my first year as the Library Media Specialist in elementary. Hector Elementary is the only school that I have taught in.
