I started my teaching career at Hector in 1981. I taught second and third grades for 20 years before I became the elementary school counselor 16 years ago. My duties are varied on any day but my guidance class program’s central theme is good character and integrity. At Hector, we encourage positive character traits such as honesty, kindness, friendliness and just doing the right thing.
My husband Rick and I have been married for 34 years and live in Hector. We have two sons Robert and Matthew, one daughter-in-law, Hannah and the light of our lives, a granddaughter, Fallyn, who is 2 years old. Robert and Hannah are teachers in Russellville and Matthew works in Russellville as well.
I have a cat, Sissy Girl, who I tamed from the wild! (my backyard!!!)
When I have time, I enjoy reading, shopping and working outside. I actually like to mow the yard! I have a small library at home that I inherited from my mom and I love to read the books she handed down to me.
